Cabarrus Economic Development, Cabarrus Chamber of Commerce and Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau come together for the first time to honor area professionals

(April 9, 2014) – Concord, NC  — On Thursday evening, three separate Cabarrus County entities with different missions will come together to honor and recognize the outstanding contributions made by our area’s business and hospitality professionals over the last year. The event will combine the Chamber Annual Meeting, the EDC Annual Awards and the CVB Golden Helmet Awards.

“Cabarrus County has made significant strides in infrastructure, business and tourism, all made possible by dedicated people who champion progress in Cabarrus County,” said Donna Carpenter, President/CEO of the Cabarrus County CVB. “Celebrate Cabarrus was created to recognize their hard work and achievements. They’re an inspiration to us all.”

As the nation prepares to celebrate National Travel & Tourism Week May 3 – 11, the Golden Helmet Awards serve as an opportunity to share the stories of those who continuously make memorable experiences for our visitors through exceptional customer service.

“We are excited to have the Chamber, EDC, and CVB join together to recognize and celebrate the hardworking individuals and businesses in Cabarrus County. This is truly an exceptional place to live, work and play and it is an honor to work side-by-side to strengthen Cabarrus County,” said Patrick Coughlin, President/CEO of the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce & Cabarrus Economic Development.

Celebrate Cabarrus will take place at Embassy Suites Charlotte/Concord Golf Resort & Spa on Thursday, April 10 at 6:30pm. Members of the media are invited to attend Celebrate Cabarrus and should contact Julie Hinson by end of day on April 9 for more information and to RSVP.
