Three long-time members of the Cabarrus County CVB Board of Directors marked the end of their terms in June 2024 as three new members joined in July.

During their meeting on June 26, the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau and its 12-member board of directors thanked and celebrated the contributions of three long-time board members.
After many years of volunteering their time and expertise to the betterment of Cabarrus County’s hospitality and tourism industry, Diane Honeycutt, Owen Parker and Terry Crawford completed their terms as Cabarrus County CVB Board Members as of June 30, 2024.
“The vision and strategic direction that our board of directors provides is invaluable,” said Cabarrus County CVB President and CEO Donna Carpenter. “We appreciate the important work of our outgoing members and look forward to how the experience of each new member will further advance the travel and tourism industry in Cabarrus County.”
Diane Honeycutt joined the Cabarrus County CVB Board of Directors in 2016 and served two terms over eight years. Owen Parker was appointed in 2018 and served for six years including the role of Chair for two years (2021-2023). Terry Crawford joined in 2018 and served two three-year terms. During that time, Crawford also served on the board’s Executive Committee for four years as both Treasurer and Secretary.
The Cabarrus County CVB welcomes its three newest members to the board of directors, Cabarrus County Commissioner Kenny Wortman, Concord City Manager Llyod Payne, and Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte/Concord General Manager Melissa Ewart, effective July 1, 2024.
With this transition, Steve Steinbacher replaces Crawford as Secretary joining Chairman Greg Walter and Treasurer Jay White on the board’s Executive Committee.
