As a result of the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau’s ongoing efforts to attract meetings and conventions to the area, Cabarrus County is the host destination for two large auto-related groups this July.
The National Association of Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Club, one of the largest motorcycle clubs in the United States, kicked off their annual NABSTMC Convention at Embassy Suites on July 13. The group anticipates approximately 3,500 attendees for the weeklong event which ends on July 20. Eight different Concord hotels are accommodating the group and estimated economic impact generated from the event is expected to exceed $1 million.
Known for their service to the community and professionalism, the association is comprised of members of the military, law enforcement, veterans, lawyers and judges, and the group seeks to give back to communities where their events are being held.
Immediately following the NABSTMC Convention, the Buick Club of America (BCA) will host their 2025 National Meet in Cabarrus County from July 23-26 which is expected to generate over $600,000 in estimated economic impact. The BCA is a non-profit membership corporation dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Buick vehicles. This event will also utilize several local hotels to accommodate attendees and tours are planned at local attractions including the Hendrick Heritage Center, NASCAR Hall of Fame and NC Transportation Museum.
As the official destination marketing organization for Cabarrus County, the Cabarrus County CVB works to market our area as an attractive option for groups hosting large events, such as motorcycle and car clubs. In addition to occupying hotels in Cabarrus County, attendees fuel our local economy through visitor spending at local businesses, restaurants, attractions and beyond.
The Cabarrus County CVB strives to establish and grow relationships with event planners with the goal of welcoming groups, and their positive impact on tourism, year after year. Returning this year, the BCA’s annual meet was last held in Concord in 2012 and saw over 300 cars entered for judging. In addition, the NABSTMC Convention is confirmed to return to Embassy Suites in Concord on July 2-8, 2028.
