Secretary Decker to Present New Economic Impact Data During National Travel & Tourism Week Rally in Concord

Media Advisory Governor Pat McCrory has proclaimed May 3-11, 2014, as Tourism Week in North Carolina. To kick off Cabarrus County’s breakfast celebration Sharon Allred Decker, North Carolina Secretary of Commerce, will visit Where Racing Lives to present newly released data on tourism’s impact on the North Carolina economy in 2013. Destination research expert Berkeley Young will also deliver a presentation on tourism in Cabarrus County.

Carolina Courts serves up Pickleball in Concord

Media Advisory The United States Pickleball Association (USAPA) will host players from across the Carolinas for the North Carolina Holiday Smash Pickleball Tournament. This “Round Robin” tournament is open for public spectators. This event and the USAPA Atlantic Southeast Regional tournament in March 2015 come to Concord as a result of efforts by the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Quality of life rises with visitor spending in Cabarrus County

CONCORD, N.C. (August 17, 2017) – Visit North Carolina recently announced that domestic visitors to and within Cabarrus County spent $433.03 million in 2016, an increase of 5.21% from 2015. Cabarrus County ranks 12th in travel impact among North Carolina’s 100 counties.
