WHO
The International Distance Skateboard Association (IDSA) will host the Charlotte Push Race where Kaspar Heinrici, current World Record Holder for one-mile straight line longboard skateboard speed record, will attempt to beat his current time posted in Flagler County, Florida.

WHAT
This weekend, Cabarrus County—“Where Racing Lives” will add yet another type of racing to the area’s list of speed-centered events as Exit 49 plays host to the first ever longboard race series in North Carolina. The One Mile Challenge and World Record™ attempt on Saturday evening will kick off the weekend of longboard races in Concord including a 5K and 10K on Sunday. The event is free and open to the public, and visitors can follow the event on Facebook (facebook.com/TheIDSA), Twitter and Instagram (@TheIDSA, #CharlotteSkateRally).

WHEN
One Mile Challenge & World Record™ attempt: Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 6pm

5K & 10K races: Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 9am

WHERE
The One Mile Challenge will be held on Bruton Smith Blvd beginning at Highway 29 in front of Charlotte Motor Speedway, and parking will be available in the Bronze Lot. On Sunday, final longboard races will take place at Concord Mills Mall. The 5K & 10K races will begin in front of AMC Theater.
