November 25, 2017(October 23, 2014) – Concord, NC – The Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) received three Destination Marketing Achievement Awards from the Destination Marketing Association of North Carolina (DMANC).

Awarded Platinum in the Destination Marketing Initiatives category, the Where Racing Lives Media Kit is a takeaway piece designed to stand out from a traditional media kit. The handheld piece opens like the hood of a car to reveal a USB drive loaded with content to aid and influence editorial coverage of the destination.
Implemented this year, “The SPEED Report” email marketing campaign won Platinum for Best Local Constituents Communications for a Newsletter. This monthly e-newsletter is sent to over 20,000 contacts with the goal of communicating updates on events, ideas for experiencing the destination like a local and itineraries to inspire visits. The bureau’s 2014-15 “Where Racing Lives” Destination Guide received Gold for Best Visitor Guide. The Guide is the ultimate resource for visitors planning a trip to Cabarrus County and area residents who want to explore where they live and work. The awards were presented during the North Carolina Tourism Leadership Conference held October 8 – 10 in Winston Salem. The purpose of the Destination Marketing Achievement Awards is to honor and showcase innovation, best practices, creativity and outstanding efforts and results in destination marketing.
