Explore Cabarrus Unveils Its 2025-2026 Destination Guide Showcasing the Region’s Robust Array of Five-Star Experiences
May 21, 2025CONCORD, N.C. (May 15, 2025) – A unique partnership between the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cabarrus County Government and Cabarrus County Schools has been selected as a case study by the global association for destination professionals, Destinations International.
The article, titled “Fields of Impact: How Explore Cabarrus County Elevated Community Sports & Visitor Value,” is part of a series of case studies that demonstrate how destination organizations across the globe are positively impacting their communities. The article features the collaboration behind and continued impact of recent turf and track and field projects that simultaneously enhance Cabarrus County’s tourism assets and school facilities.

The Destination Effect website is a joint initiative between the Destinations International Association and Tempest. The website is designed to assist elected officials, policymakers, economic development experts, placemaking advocates, academia, media and members of the general public in understanding the role of a destination organization and the impact those organizations can have.
