Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau to Sell DNC Merchandise

(May 16 2012) – Concord, NC – The 2012 Democratic National Convention (DNC) is just over 3 months away, but you don’t have to wait until the convention to purchase merchandise. The Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is the exclusive retail provider for Official DNC Merchandise in Cabarrus County.

Among the items available for purchase: Obama Speech T-shirts, DNC 2012 Convention T-shirts, water bottles, car magnets, and buttons. Prices for the items range from $5 – 25.
“Our visitor center will be very busy over the next few weeks with the races, so it will be convenient for those guests that want Official DNC merchandise to pick something up here while they are staying in Cabarrus County,” says Donna Carpenter, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cabarrus Convention & Visitors Bureau.

DNC merchandise is available for purchase in the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau Visitor Information Center from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, and 12 – 4 p.m. on Sunday. The Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau is located at 10099 Weddington Road, Suite #102 off exit 49 at Interstate 85.

Please note that the visitor center will have special hours during race days: Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Sunday, May 27, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and will be closed on Memorial Day.
The DNC will run from September 3 – 7. Cabarrus County hotels will play host to delegates from nine states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
