The N.C. NAACP will meet in Cabarrus County this October

(July 1, 2010) – Cabarrus, NC – The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) announced plans to hold the 2010 North Carolina NAACP State Convention at Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC.

“The Cabarrus County Branch NAACP welcomes the North Carolina State Conference of Branches to our county for the 67th annual State Convention. We are pleased to announce the Great Wolf Lodge as the Convention Headquarters. This will be the first time NAACP will be staying at a theme hotel,” said Amos McClorey, president of the Cabarrus County Branch of the NAACP. “We also are pleased to announce that Bethel Baptist Church in Kannapolis, North Carolina will kick off the convention on Thursday October 7, 2010 at 10 am.”
