(August 16, 2009) – Kannapolis, NC – Imagine nearly a mile of boardwalk along the Rocky River, greenways that connect Concord and Kannapolis and walking paths near Concord Mills.

The Carolina Thread Trail is a regional network that will link more than 2 million people via hundreds of miles of trails through 15 counties.
About 42.2 miles of the Carolina Thread Trail are located in Concord. They include about 21 miles in the Rocky River Corridor, about 19 miles along Irish Buffalo Creek and about 2 miles along Cabarrus Avenue.
