The area’s premier travel publication, the 2015-16 Cabarrus County Destination Guide, to be released as zMAX Dragway hosts international audience

(March 26, 2014) – Concord, NC  –The latest edition of the official travel resource for Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, Midland and Mount Pleasant, NC is now available from the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The 2015-16 Destination Guide release comes as Concord prepares to welcome visitors from more than 975 cities, 45 states and countries as far away as Australia, Sweden, France, England and Canada during the sixth annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway this weekend.

“As a snapshot of this area, the guide is colorful and vibrant with a high-energy, family friendly feel,” said Donna Carpenter, President/CEO of the Cabarrus County CVB. “Tens of thousands of fans will travel to Cabarrus County this weekend, and the goal is to inspire and provide them with the best tool possible for navigating all of Cabarrus County’s offerings. It’s also a keepsake from the nation’s premier motorsports destination complete with driver autograph page that can be put to good use at zMAX Dragway since each ticket is also a pit pass.”

The free 71-page publication is a comprehensive resource to the county’s attractions, lodging and shopping options, full-service restaurants, historical sites, sports and recreation facilities and more.

“We’re excited to welcome returning and first-time fans from around the world for a racing experience that can only be found in Concord,” said City of Concord Mayor Scott Padgett. “The Destination Guide does a great job of showcasing the area and helping those visitors make the most of their time with true, local experiences at the track, in Historic Downtown Concord and beyond.”
