Relax & Stay a While

With such diversified attractions, one of the largest markets for Cabarrus County is the leisure traveler. Each day, our team strives to turn two days into a week or a single-day visit for business into, “I can’t wait to come back with my family.” But our efforts to encourage leisure travel expand far beyond county lines.

Info on the Go

Conducting targeted research allows us to identify specific consumer shows in markets that are feasible for driving into our destination but far enough to warrant spending the night here—places like Virginia, western Tennessee, northern Georgia and South Carolina. In addition to visitors who travel from all areas of North Carolina, past data collection shows that Cabarrus County is a popular place to visit for people in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Then, we take our show on the road telling the story of Cabarrus County by exhibiting at these carefully selected consumer shows and festivals. The Visit Cabarrus Fan Van is a Visitor Center on wheels with a full display of Destination Guides, Partner brochures, data collection materials, games and giveaways. While engaging potential visitors with fun takeaways raises awareness, we also want them to leave something behind. One of the most important goals while onsite is to collecting valuable visitor information that can be used to reconnect and influence an overnight visit to our area.

If you are a hospitality Partner in Cabarrus County interested in exhibiting alongside the Cabarrus County CVB, contact Gayle Love Lee.
