Vice President of Partnership & Visitor Services

Before being named Vice President of Partnership & Visitor Services at the Cabarrus County CVB, Gayle Love Lee served as Executive Director at the Carolinas Roofing Association for three years. She brings over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry ranging from representing large brand hotels and boutique conference centers to convention centers and special event planning.

Gayle has served on the board of Meeting Professionals International-Carolinas Chapter receiving the Pat on the Back Award during her term. She also served on the board of AENC Charlotte Chapter and chaired the first Customer Service Advisory Committee for the City of Winston-Salem.

Gayle also received her Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) certification, through Destinations International (DI) in August of 2016.

Nick Dorney

Visitor Services Manager

Nick Dorney joined the Cabarrus County CVB as Visitor Services Manager in September 2022 with experience in guest services, operations, special event logistics, and management at prominent attractions in the Southeast.

Before joining the Explore Cabarrus Team, Nick served as Director of The Blues Foundation’s Blues Hall of Fame Museum overseeing all aspects of daily museum operations. Prior to his time in Memphis, Nick held the role of Visitor Services Associate at Historic Brattonsville in Rock Hill, South Carolina where he served as the first point of contact and worked to ensure an elevated experience for guests. Nick’s experience also includes several roles at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium including Museum Guide, Museum Lead, Manager on Duty, and Assistant Manager of Museum & Tours.

Nick graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies.

Amanda McMillin

Visitor Services Coordinator

Amanda McMillin joined the Explore Cabarrus Visitor Services team in September 2023.

Prior to her most recent role as office manager for Walter Haines General Contracting in Midland, Amanda served as a Data Management Specialist with the Cancer Research Department at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. Her professional experience includes the roles of Clinical Trial Regulatory Assistant and Clinical Trial Manager with Novant Health.

Amanda was also a Lead Teacher with Kidzoo Child Development Center and volunteered with the Mecklenburg County School System. She served as Book Fair Chairperson, Hospitality Committee Chair and PTO President at Mallard Creek Elementary. She currently volunteers within our community for organizations including the Cabarrus County School System.
